“Yum! You have to try this. It’s so good, please try this I’m telling you its good stuff,” says Brashier Senior Immanuel Houston, as he ecstatically gets a student to try a bite of ice cream wrapped with a gooey coating. The student’s eyes bug as they ask for more. This particular delicacy is just one of the several at Brashier Circle of Foods Day.
Brashier’s Leadership class hosted this event to raise money for the March of Dimes. The leadership class sold tickets to students for five dollars. These tickets got the students food from different countries. The leadership students not only had to make food but they also had to make a poster board to go behind the food they were presenting to the students.
“I liked Circle of Foods, the food was good and I had a great time participating in it and there was a great turn out of people,” says Brashier Sophomore Timmy Citeno.
The poster boards had the country the students’ food was from and information about the country. Some of the countries that were featured in the Circle of Foods were Colombia, Australia, Canada, and England. Each of the Leadership students stood by their country, explained what their food was, and shared facts about their country.
