New Season…new sports!

New spring sports have risen at Brashier Middle College Charter High School. Soccer, Baseball, and Golf teams have been preparing and practicing for their upcoming games.
Each coach is expecting the best of each player for this season. “I expect improvement and for them to play with class,” said Mike Roberts, soccer coach. On Monday March 9th, the girls and boys soccer teams faced Ware Shoals. Soccer games are competitive, but also enjoyable. “I am looking forward to playing good and most of all to have fun,” said Marissa Cox, sophomore. Coach Roberts is anxious to see how the season will turn out. Junior Lucio Velazquez states, “I think that the season will turn out good but will be competitive.” The BMC soccer team is ready to face each game with much excitement.
The Golf team, led by Coach John Harris, has been practicing at Verde Greens golf course and has already had some competition. Some players have been playing quite a few years, but for others it’s their first time playing. Weston Cavett, junior, is starting this new sport. “Golf is fun, and even though I’ve never played I like to try it.” John Harris, junior, has been playing golf for a couple of years and expects many things of himself. “I expect to get better and for the team to improve.”
