Friday, May 15 was a day full of excitement for many BMC students.  “Field day was a great way to enjoy being with your friends, and it was a good follow up to the previous field days.  I hope that it will become a Brashier tradition,” states Junior Brittany Lamont.

Field day was a day of friendly competition and spirited fun.  “Field day was awesome, next year seniors will win it all,” exclaims Junior Jaque Mosley.  A few students didn’t enjoy the event as much as others.  “I didn’t like Field day because it was miserable and hot outside,” says Sophomore Alex Galloway.  However the weather nicely complimented the student’s “plans.” Lamont states, “I really liked the “surprise” water war.  “I enjoyed field day because it was great to see everyone cut loose and just have fun,” says Junior John Eron.

Later that night, BMC’s celebration of our Stars took place.  “It’s a celebration to celebrate where we’ve been, and where we are going,” states Director of Operations Sandy Brigmon.  Students felt the same way.  “I liked the thing Friday evening because it showed all the originals [students] and how far we’ve come since the first day,” says Junior Sophie Hopkins.  The event featured many speakers, including BMC students Lucio Velasquez, Brooke Ingram, Elizabeth Rostro, and Aurelle McCain.  “The Friday evening thing was good.  I enjoyed listening to my friends speak…” states Junior Abby Jones.

All sports, clubs, and groups involved with BMC created display boards to show the guest at this event.  “Friday evening was really cool, being able to see all of the after-school stuff that the school offers and having everyone together…” states Junior Sara Adkins.  “The Friday evening thing was very unique and sentimental and made people aware of the [status] of everything involved with the development of Brashier,” states Lamont.
