Hip Hop Dancers Dancing at Pep Rally

The Hip Hop Dance Team, led by Brashier Middle College Charter High Substitute Teacher Mrs. Cruise, danced at the BMCCHS Pep Rally on Friday January 22, 2010.

“I’m excited that people liked it enough to let us do it at the Pep Rally,” said Hip Hop Dancer and Junior Atley Citeno. Citeno is one of fourteen girls that will be performing at the Pep rally on Friday. They performed to the music of Beyonce.

Junior Leah Posley was shocked “that there were only girls in the Arts Intersession Hip Hop class.” However the school seemed to enjoy the dace the girls were practicing. Many students would stop and marvel at the girls while they were practicing for the songs they were going to do. At the end of every day half the school would be crowded around to watch as the Hip Hop class would finish up for the day.

Posley said she liked it because, “It’s fun and different, and there is a lot to it. While the girls practiced you could see on their faces that they were having a good time.”

Cruise, who was the teacher for the Hip Hop class during Arts Intersession is the leader of the girls; also Cruise is a former Indianapolis Colts cheerleader.

Other Arts Intersession classes also performed at the Pep Rally. The Juggling class had a student perform. The Guitar class provided music for the Pep Rally.
