Guest Speaker, Susie Vanderlip came to Brashier October 22. She came to speak about problems that many teenagers face. To illustrate these problems, she dressed up and acted as if she was in that certain position.
Vanderlip made 4 key points in her lecture. Key point #1 was that teenagers are in denial. Key point #2 was to ask for help. Key Point #3 was to “Set a personal policy,” Vanderlip stated. And key point #4 was to commit you life to service.
Vanderlip is from Southern California, has been doing this for 18 years, and has been to 48 states and Canada.
Sophomore Michaela Mabbitt said, “It really had an effect on me because I have seen drugs mess up people, so it was like a reality check for me.” Mabbitt also mentioned that Vanderlip was very entertaining and kept her attention. Sophomore Raven Bailey left the assembly feeling “calm and relieved.”

I liked this speech so much and it was a great thing to be able to see hope you are going to come next year to see BRAISHER MIDDLE COLLEGE :p
