As the end of the year approaches students start getting worried about their final grade.
“I care more in the beginning because you want to start off with good grades,” says sophomore Danielle Greskamp.
When students begin not caring about their grades, it catches up to them.
“I notice that most students slack off during 3rd quarter and their grades seem to drop a bit. Then, when 4th quarter arrives, they panic somewhat and start picking up the slack,” says English Teacher Rosemary Abercrombie.
Teachers try to prepare the students all year for whats coming.
“That’s a year-long thing with me in that I remind them during the year that they have the HSAP to take in the Spring. I just have to stay on them, and constantly remind them that they have to pass English to go to the next level. I know they get tired of my reminders,” says Abercrombie.
Students have different stress levels as fourth quarter is here.
“For me, the most stressful thing is having the teachers rush to get everything taught,” says Greskamp.
But for other students it’s different.
“I think the most stressful thing is final exams,” says sophomore Micheala Mabbitt.
Exams seem to be a motivator for students to study.
“I guess I change my study habits because I study more for exams,” says Greskamp.

You guys think its bad now? Just wait… Senior Project is a pain and you are all in for it if you think the first three years were bad. I have fun working on my product and I like haning out with the people that are involved, but everything else stinks… I wish y’all the best of luck, because things are about to get interesting.

To the writer above me, try not to get too gloomy. It’s hard but I guarantee you plenty of adults could easily write “You think senior project is hard? Try living in the real world paying for bills, kids, mortgage, taxes, etc.”
I advise the underclassmen to pick something they like..and most importantly DON’T GET BEHIND.
