Teachers really shouldn’t be playing favorites in school. It’s not right or fair, and it is basically discrimination.

Some teachers practice preferential treatment with their students. It happens in most schools, and it makes the students that aren’t the favorites feel unimportant and worthless, and a lot of times it makes them mad. This happens to me a lot. I know I haven’t had the best attitude toward the teachers, and probably haven’t really gotten on their good sides, but no matter what, they can’t discriminate and treat me different than other students. I feel like these teachers are discriminating against me when they basically call me out in front of everyone else. It is wrong for teachers to have preferential treatment with some students. Yeah, maybe the kids get called down a lot, maybe the kids haven’t been the best kids in the class, but that doesn’t mean that the teacher should treat them different from the others. Everyone is equal! Okay, they may call me down because I can get a little out of hand some times, but not all the time. Yes, some of the other kids get called down sometimes, but not as much as me, and a lot of the time I haven’t done what I am accused of doing. By “acting” bad in class, the teachers hold grudges. Why can’t the teachers make a “clean slate” with the students everyday? You know, after every day the teacher should just forget about the kid’s bad behavior in class, if it was a bad day, and go on tomorrow like nothing happened.

Some of the teachers say they call me down because I have a loud voice. Are you serious? I get in trouble because of my voice, something I can’t help? Yet some other kids talk and don’t get in trouble, only because they have been “angels” in class.

If a student does act up time and time again during class why should the teachers keep giving them a clean slate. They aren’t god they are suppose to forgive not forget. Plus alot of the stuff you say in class is off subject and really annoying some of us actually want to learn. When you act out during class then it takes away from the teacher teaching me because she/he has to concentrate on you that IS NOT FAIR. So if a teacher shows favorties don’t get mad because there is a reason for it!!
