Our School

Everyday students walk into the school building, go to the common’s area, go to their lockers, and then to class. This has become such a routine that it seems that most students forget where this school was last year and the year before that. So this is just a little reminder to appreciate how far we have come.
We no longer need jackets, rain boots, or umbrellas just to walk to class. We may still complain about the temperature in the rooms but at least it doesn’t match the temperature outside. Let us not forget running through the rain only to get class soaked to the bone. Carrying all your books and papers in your bag, only to get to class and find most of them are wet was something that was expected but no one really enjoyed it. Thankfully, it no longer has to be this way.
Sadly students seem to be misusing the building and the resources we now have.
This year we have our own building, and because of the new building we also have lockers, hallways, our own gym, a cafeteria, two commons areas, and the media center.
So please take care of our school building.

to be honest i kind of miss running through the rain to get to class and to lunch and eating outside. it was more fun it was kind of an adventure in a weird way

I think that your right becuase i remember what it was like last year to have things ruined or my hair messed up or something elso go wrong becuase of the weather or the temperature outside. I love our new school and to be honest not many appriciate it. The freshman dont understand becuase they werent here last year but all of us that were know how much of a pain it was when something didnt go right. I think that if we see someone abusing the school or doing something they shouldnt we should say something because it is the students’ responsibility to take care of this wonderful thing that has been given to us. We worked so hard to make it here we shouldnt throw it away.

Here Here! Even though I’m only a freshman, and have not had to deal with running through the rain like the upper classmen, I also believe that we should try our hardest to keep our school in its pristine condition.

I agree. We should treat our with more respect, and be greatful we aren’t getting stuff destroyed in the weather.

I agree with asdfghjkl about missing how it was. But I also love the way it is now, which is a HUGE improvement! If we liked how it was before, then that’s great, we have some happy memories of how Brashier used to be. But we should appreciate how it is now and show our appreciation for the building by taking care of it.
Great article Kat!!!

you are exactly right i remember those days it would rain and having to run to class taking the risk of tripping and sliding in the mud or those days during the winter having to be careful where we stepped because of ice. having a new school is great it beats having school outside. i love having a new school its perfect. and yes it may be cold in the class rooms or sometimes to hot but hey she has a point it beats having the temperture inside compared to it outside.
be thankful you guys!
Nice article kaitlin

last year when we were running through the rain or eating outside..we wished we had our own building! but now looking back…it was fun running through the rain to get to class at enjoying the sun! im really glad i was here when we were in the college and to have that experience!

I’m gonna miss it, but I’m looking forward to making memories here like we did there…besides, a school is not characterized by the building, but by the students. plus, those of us who have college classes DO have to run through the rain, so it’s not as different as it seems
