G.I. Joe: American Blockbuster or American Flop?

As it turns out, this movie leans more toward a flop. Many people will find this dissapointing, as the trailers actually looked good. But where exactly did the film go wrong?
It may surprise most to hear me say this, expecially about a sub-par movie, but G.I. Joe actually had most of the elements of a good movie. Backstory, unique action sequences, and good plot twist, some of which were quite surprising. Unfortunately, none of these things mattered, because there was absolutely no drama. When the drama is removed from a movie like this, the film loses that edge-of-your-seat allure and simply becomes one series of explosions after another, like some sort of curde laser show.
In short, G.I. Joe may be a thrill for fans, but it will be forgetable experience for most movie-goers.

i thought that the movie was pretty good. some people actually like a movie like that that keeps them on the edge of their seat and wanting more. i recently watched the movie and gave it 2 thumbs up. but when i read your review i did realize that it could have had a little more drama. i think that the movie could have been better but it was still good the way it is. the actors were great and really held their part. some of the scenes they could have cleaned up a bit to make it look more realistic, but overall it was like i said pretty good

Sales don’t matter. Eragon made quite a bit of money and recieved a good deal of praise, but it was horrible. Just because something does well, doesn’t mean it’s good.
