It's Snowing in Simpsonville.

When school lets out, students run to their cars to get out of the cold weather.

Statistics show that the temperature is below normal for this time of year. For example, www.accuweather.com says the high for February 7th, 2009 was 70 degrees. On February 7th, 2010 the high was 49 degrees.
It also shows that South Carolina has had more precipitation this year (www.noaa.com). www.climate-zone.com says that 15 days in January were cloudy and only 10 days were clear.
“I really like the cold weather, says sophomore Zac Lipe, I think it feels good.”
The wind has also picked up this year. The average gust wind has been 46 miles per hour, according to www.wunderground.com
The cold weather can make people feel depressed and down.

“Yes! It definitely has an effect on your mood, like being depressed,” says sophomore Tj Rigsby

But other people can’t wait for warmer weather.
“I’m so ready for summer,” says sophomore Kayla Ambrose.
“If it isn’t going to snow I’d rather have hot weather because there is more stuff to do in warm weather,” says Rigsby.
