Seniors eat lunch in the cafeteria
“The padded seats in the cafeteria will be taken away until further notice, due to the fact that the Janitors picked up two trash bags of trash around that area.” Mrs. Brigmon’s announcement Wednesday December 9th was met with groans and complaints.
“If they don’t take care of the building then no one will, and if no one takes care of it, then one day it will not be here,” Senior Dakotah Osborn said, referring to the underclassmen and future students of Brashier.
“First there’s a hole in the wall, then there’s a missing support, then the gym’s gone,” Osborn went on to exaggerate. Fellow Senior Megan Janiskee added, “And the next thing you know Mr. Smith is teaching class in the lake.”
On a more serious note Sophomore Brianna Hanson said, “The building is special, it was made for us and we should not treat it badly.”
A few students voiced their ideas on how to make future students realize why the building is important.
Senior Brandon Benavidez and Sophomore Scotty Woods both said, “Make them clean it, and don’t let them leave until they do.”
“Send them outside to learn in the rain.” Said Senior Anthony Boehme.
Sophomore Perry Leigh said, “Make a video and show it at the beginning of each year.”

that is an excelent article and thanks for sticking up for the building and keeping a level head at the same time. now if we could just get that freshmen school wide clean up day arranged i would be satisfied. that was a brilliant idea on Scotty and Brandon’s part.

wow why just freshmen? huh? how about you get your rear into action and start doing something instead of just complaining about it.

Why does it have to be just the freshman? Im a freshman and I think this building is awesome! I would never want to intentionaly do something to damage it. Also, have you ever thought about the fact that the freshman are not the only people who might throw thier trash on the ground? If the seniors like the building the way it is then they should want EVERYONE to pick up thier own trash, not just the freshmen.

This wasn’t directed at any one specific person. this was directed at anyone that can’t pick up there trash. i appologize for my miswording earlier. in that statement i was refering to generalized statement made by a friend of mine, that was wrong on my part. and i do try to clean up around the school but i’m only one person… i can’t do it alone. and i thank you for caring for the building if you see someone (no matter what grade they are in) leave their trash anywhere pick it up and ask them to put it in a trash can where it goes. if they give you crap about being a freshman tell them to come talk to me about their attitude towards the cleanliness of our school.
I’m sorry for sounding like i felt this was souly the freshmens’ fault. i know it isn’t and i can’t say how sorry i am for making it sound like that.

whats the point of having a new school if you won’t do your part and clean up the mess. one its not respectful and two your in high school you should kno to clean up your mess. we are not two and we do not have maids that follow us around every day. i swear people can be so thoughtless and childish and immature

There was no mention of any grade being picked out from the other. Nothing in this article said anything about who’s fault it is. Continuring on with what Dakotah said, maybe each grade should have a clean up day.
