Stress is a Mess!

It’s exciting to know that there are only a few days of school left. No more homework, test, quizzes, or anything else. But the more excited students get, the more stress comes with that, because of final exams. Sophomore Savanna Cook agrees. “Cramming for exams and being really impatient about getting out for the summer is stressful.” That’s when students start studying late and more, trying to remember everything from a math problem to a specific event that happened many years ago. Statistics show that “two thirds of Americans say they are likely to seek help for stress” (www.hardcore-stress-management.com). Paul Smythe says, “I get stressed once or twice a month.”
Stress is one of the most difficult problems in schools, in which many students start slowing down in studying. “Exams are causing school students from Class 9 to 12 to pop memory – enhancing pills” (World News Network). Stress can possibly lead students to make many mistakes. Stress should be taken care of, so that students won’t feel as much pressure when going to class and having to start on exams. Getting plenty of rest and a good breakfast helps, as well as studying only what students can handle. Marissa Cox, sophomore, says she is planning to do something else to control her stress. “I will sleep a lot.”
