Phelps Slips Up

After winning eight gold medals and breaking seven world records, Michael Phelps returned home to sponsorships, a Sports Illustrated cover, a Saturday Night Live hosting opportunity, and fans welcoming him back. But in the Fall, Phelps risked everything by making the mistake of doing drugs. Someone took a picture of him doing drugs and gave it to the media. He is a role model, and by doing this, many say he has let a lot of his fans down. Students at Brashier say they feel Michael Phelp’s affiliation with drugs is disappointing.
Junior, Sabian Clark said “He’s an idiot for throwing it all away.”
Junior Zach White says “Well I think everybody makes mistakes even Olympic gold medalists.”
Freshman Lindsey Mc Donald says “Stupid.”
Junior Mark Fevrin says “I don’t give a crap, it’s his life.”
Sophomore Jordan Grescamp says “He’s a looser.”
Sophomore Dakota Davis “He’s an idiot. He should’ve been more responsible because people look up to him.”
