Jamie presents his power point to the class.
Teacher Gene Kennedy is asking students to research soldiers of the Nazi party. The project is due Thursday, October 8, and is the second project of three projects in his Holocaust class.
Junior Cameron Miller says, “We have been assigined an SS soldier, which we have to either write a paper on, do a powerpoint, or make a poster explaining the life ond how they became apart of the nazi party.” Miller also says she has learned a lot by taking the Holocaust class. “Learning about the Holocaust is very heart-breaking because when you sit in Mr. Kennedy’s class and you read some of the stories or hear about exactly what those people went through, it makes you want to cry.”
Miller also says that she has a lot of questions while sitting in the class. She often asks herself things such as, “What if it were us?”, “Why did he do that?”, and “What about the children or adults who were innocent?” She says not only has she learned a lot about what has happened, but also other interesting things. “While taking this course I learned a lot about Hitler, his childhood, and the possiblr reason of why he went crazy.”
“Its a lot to take in if you don’t know much about the topic,” says Gene Kennedy, Holocaust teacher.
