David Kessinger is a first time Brashier teacher. He teaches both Art and Senior Project. This is not his first teaching job though. He has been teaching for six years, teaching numerous subjects including US History, Geography, Art, Art History, Studio Arts, and now Senior Project. Kessinger didn’t always want to be a teacher though, originally, he wanted to be an architect or a golf teacher.
He has had other jobs including delivering pizzas and being a golf caddie. When asked why he chose to teach at Brashier, Kessinger said “I liked the family aspect, a close community feel, and I like Mr. Sinclair’s perspective of how schools should be run.”
Kessinger has been to numerous places including England, Salt Lake City, and North Carolina. Kessinger said, “Art is an exploration and you learn by doing. To be afraid is only because you haven’t really tried.”
