Students eating cupcakes

Students walk through the line choosing which cupcake they want; graffiti, chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry. There are many different icing and sprinkle choices. After the students get their cupcake, they rush to the table full of sprinkles and additional icing. Students seem excited to be decorating their own cupcake. The students are happy to be out of 6th period and having social time with friends.

“I did enjoy it because I enjoyed missing class and talking to my friends,” says Emily Burdette. “I thought the social was fun and I think we should continue to have them in the future!” “It was well organized. The parent volunteers helped the cupcake social run smoothly.”

“No, I don’t think it was little kiddie because it gives us a chance to talk to people we don’t usually see throughout the day,” says Michaela Mabbitt.

Many people had fun at the social, but some thought differently of it. Mabbitt also had another opinion about the social.

“[It wasn't organized], the people didn’t have the icing on until you went up to get one,” says Michaela Mabbitt. “I think they should do everybody at once, but maybe in the gym.”

“That was the dumbest thing of my life,” a student remarked.

The events committee tries to plan something for the students once a month. “I guess [we do it once a month because] it is to help boost the moral of the students and give them something to look forward to,” says Events Committee Member, Mrs. Smith.

“Sometimes the event is for the students to take a breather during the day, other times it is for the students to get excited about a game or cause,” Smith stated.

Whoever thought it was “the dumbest thing of my life” must have wanted to be in class doing work instead of getting to talk to friends and eat free cupcakes.

Maybe cupcakes didn’t suit their fine tastes and they would have preferred we had a Lobster Social with tables set with golden forks and silk napkins and chairs that the Queen of England herself has sat in..

indeed, Anonymous, indeed. people like “a student” who say things like that first of all just want to look cool, and second, they are the most ungrateful people on the face of the earth. these people plan fun events where students have a chance to get away from class and be social. I am outraged at such a comment. forgive me for quoting weird al here, but “don’t you know that other kids are starving in Japan?” so eat it, student, just eat it. :P

To be fair, some people simply do not like sweets. Give me a choice between cheese and cake. I’ll take the cheese every time.

(NOTE: This is written in the opinion of a brony*)

Pinkie Pie would be utterly ashamed of “a student” and how ungrateful he or she was. She would happily participate in Cupcake Social! She loves cupcakes, after all! ^^

*a male fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. there’s more bronies out there than you think…
