ACORN Possibly Lose Funding for Foul Play An Opinion Article

Recently, shocking videos show corruption in the non profit organization ACORN ( a tax exempt supposedly non profit organization), by two everyday citizens who sensed foul play from within the group. Two people I consider true heroes, and risk takers, conservative activist James O’Keefe, 25, and partner Hannah Giles, 20, took it upon themselves to go undercover and try to expose some of ACORNs’ perversion and shocking employee behavior. What was discovered was horrifying and angering; the question on many peoples’ mind, “My taxes go to this kind of thing?” The story needs to be exposed, the information is so ground breaking that the U.S. Senate voted 83 to 7 to stop funding the organization with federal money. In other words our families and even those of us who have jobs at the school, will not have to worry about anymore of our taxes going to such an immoral group of people if it passes.
The issues came to the surface when O’Keefe and Giles posed as a pimp and a prostitute and went to one of the many ACORN offices and set up a pseudo interview with one of the organization’s workers. They set up hidden cameras and inquired if they could get funding towards the “unique kind of business,”they conduct. That business they were talking about? Setting up illegal brothels and sneaking in underaged, abused, illegal, girls from different countries and using them as young prostitutes. They said they’d be using girls as young as twelve but knew they wouldn’t be able get funding anywhere else because what they were doing was against the law.
In all the video tapes, each and every one of the employees is totally for the business and understands why they wouldn’t get any money to set up the illegal brothels but say they could defiantly help “get them started.” They go on to say that they would have to do it secretly cover up the business and use a certain “code” when discussing it to get tax returns, you know, something else less conspicuous. Some of the tapes even depict a few of the employees actually saying they know how to sneak in young illegal girls from countries such as Tijuana and El Salvador.
One shocking clip caught from an ACORN office in California shows another employee not only agreeing to fund such a horrid business, but actually discussing her past life as a prostitute and even more shocking, she goes on to admit how she murdered her boyfriend. Tell me, does this organization not screen its employees? I want to know why hard working Americans’ tax dollars are going to this type of organization. Can one even call such a group of people an organization? No, I think a better word for ACORN would be scam, a business that steals money from people whom work hard and unknowingly have it used for ludicrous antics.
Brashier, I don’t know about you, but I work and have taxes taken out of my paycheck. And for those of you who work as well, don’t you see now where that money goes? It is your personal preference to look over the corruption behind ACORN and its employees but I, James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles wont. And, I pray the organization loses its funding

and our tax money goes somewhere it is truly needed. Responses on this opinion article would be much appreciated, my only hope in writing this article, besides voicing something I felt was wrong, was to surface this and open some eyes, especially to those of us who have jobs.
