This year a lack of freshmen volunteered for Freshmen Representative. Each and every 9^th grader can run for 9^th grade representative, but none were interested in being a candidate. Mr. Pouch is the Student Council Advisor. He says he is surprised no freshmen were interested in campaigning. “Some freshmen may be able to join student council the 2^nd semester of this year.”

There will be more information after Christmas for those who are interested. There wasn’t a problem with upper classman campaigning,  just freshmen. Last year it was decided to wait until fall for elections so freshmen could run, but none did. Freshman Kara Beverly said she did  not run because “I don’t like represent things or being the center of attention.” Other freshmen said they were not aware of the opportunity.   But, if you are a freshman and you want to run then you may have chances next semester.
