Doug Beutler is a BMC senior who participates in an interesting organization. “For a little over six months I have been in cadets,” Beutler stated. Cadets is a program run through the Greenville County Sheriff’s office post 817. Every Saturday Beutler meets there and trains on different topics affiliated with law enforcement. Beutler hopes to have a career in law enforcement.
“I started in the program because I felt I would like a career in law enforcement. By being in the program I was able to see that I do enjoy the Criminal Justice field and now have a plan to work toward a career in this field.”
His friends are also supportive of his involvement in the cadet program. Sabian Clark stated, “Doug knows the law. He is really helping the community.”
Outside of cadets, Beutler is in Beta Club and Project Command. He likes playing soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and disc golf, and he also enjoys kayaking.
Many say Beutler has a great sense of humor. Ryan Long said, “Doug is very witty.” Brittany Lamont added, “He is really funny. His sarcasm is hilarious.”
Beutler is very helpful to his friends and people can always count on him. Ray Adcock said, “Doug is a very kind friend that I can always depend on.”
