How many seniors are ready to be out of High School? Ask them, and I am sure you will find out. Senior year is a time to look back over your high school career and on to the future. Senior Hannah Kelley says, “Wow. I remember learning how to Salsa dance in Spanish class.”

As a member of Brashier’s first graduating class, Kelley says that she is glad to be in the new school building but she wishes she could have been in the building longer. “It’s exciting being a part of the first graduating class, it brings back a bunch of memories from Allen Temple,” Kelley says, refering to the church in which Brashier housed its first year. “I remember this one time during arts intercession when we were swing dancing and one of the guys ran to jump on the stage and missed and chipped a tooth,” Kelley says, thinking back on her freshman year.

Many of today’s freshmen look up to the seniors for direction. “Being an example for the freshmen is hard because I remember when I was a freshman, and I wasn’t too big on authority,” Kelley says, “Now I like to joke around with friends but I still have to make sure I am not setting a bad example.”

All in all, Kelley is excited about being a senior and graduation. She says that everything else that is going to happen this year is going to be unforgettable because it is her senior year. Kelley says, “There aren’t many rights or privileges that come with being a senior at Brashier, but you do have to take on a lot of responsibility to graduate.”

This is true, the things that Ms.Kelley said. Being a senior is a tough responsibility, because you want to go wild, but then you remember “Man I’m at Brashier…” also you’re trying to set an example for the other people around you so when you leave they won’t tear the place down!
